What is Wirecut Machine?

Wire-cut EDM, wire cutting, wire erosion, wire burning, wire cut electric discharge machining, wire eroding 'cheese-cutter' EDM, etc. are all other names for wire EDM.

When cutting wire at a medium speed, 0.18 mm-diameter molybdenum wire is typically used as the electrode wire, while brass wire, galvanized wire, etc. are more commonly used when cutting at a slow speed. The electrode wire's diameter can be changed to suit the precision needs of the process. To increase cutting speed and lessen the likelihood of wire breakage, select an electrode wire with a diameter of at least 0.2 mm.

Ascertain the work-piece clamping position and method based on the handling shape and size of the work-piece. Clamping techniques for various parts, such as plates, rotating bodies, and blocks, vary. Clamping the workpiece requires specially made clamps. The workpiece needs to be adjusted after it has been clamped. In most cases, this involves ensuring that the workpiece is clamped at the correct height and flatness and adjusting the axial parallelism between the datum plane of the workpiece and the machine tool.

5. Threading and calibrating

Wrap the electrode wire around the wire feeding mechanism correctly to achieve the desired tension. To rectify the row of the electrode wire, you can use the aligner, the spark, or any other method you prefer.
