It has high porosity (80%-85%), high thermal shock resistance, large specific surface, high strength at high temperature. It is used to improve casting quality and mechanical property, reduce defective rate and simplify pouring system for molten aluminum filtration in primary and secondary aluminum foundries and other non-ferrous casting as well. This ceramic foam is used in the casting industry. The foam filter has a porous structure that allows it to effectively remove impurities and reduce turbulence in molten metal during the casting process.
