Variable Area Measuring Principle
The substance flows through the meter vertically from bottom to top. Between the inner diameter of a measuring ring and the outer diameter of a float tapering towards the bottom, a measuring gap is formed through which the substance flows; the measuring gap is formed by the weight of the float (less buoyant force) being in balance to the flowing force. Height adjustment of the float is a measure for the flow quantity.
