S K Industries make Deep Pleat filters are compact in design, made of imported submicronic glass fiber paper, pleated and separated by aluminum spacers. Deep Pleat has higher efficiency and larger surface area resulting in greater durability. Standard filters are available in F6 and F8 grades and is silicon free. To eliminate leakage deep Pleat Oven filters are sealed with imported high temperature Sealant and high temperature gasket.
Two types of Sealants for high-temperature HEPA filters are offered. Silicon Sealant This is a high temperature (RTV) silastic silicon compound rated for continuous service up to 500 F (260 C).
Glass Pack Sealant The glass pack seal is rated for continuous service up to 1000 F (540 C) in exhaust air applications only. It is a mat of submicron glass fibres that creates a seal when compressed between the filter pack and filter frame. The glass packing is not an adhesive seal but a mechanical seal that functions much as the glass fiber medium of the filter itself.
