Harmonics are a result or consequence of modern electronic loads such as controlled rectifiers used in industrial, DC power supplies (Rectifier + Capacitor Filter) used in Computers, Data processing equipment or Telecom equipment. The current waveform demanded by these loads is non-sinusoidal. This leads to :
