Kashmiri Dried Morels - Locally known as Gucchhis, are morels from Kashmir are one of the worlda s most costliest mushrooms,
sold between Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000 per kilogram in the market (Depending on their Size and
Availability).


High-altitude Forests in Kashmir in the regions of Kangan, Anantnag and Kupwara are ideal for
their wild growth. Their collection/harvest is done during the months of March and April.
i u Gucchis are used for making traditional Kashmiri delicacies like a Chaschnia (a local dessert),
a Thunthoo Pullowa , (rice and morels), a Thunthoo Kheera (milk and morels), and
a Thunthoo Yakhnia (curd and morels).

as well as many South East Asian Cuisines
