These seals are independent of direction of rotation, this seal is a multi spring externally mounted design with O-Ring as a secondary sealing member; these seals are basically used on top entry agitators as Dry Running Seals. The advantage of these seals are doesn't require any lubricant or quenching systems so they are known as dry running seals, various faces materials & elastomers can be offered for wide service application.
