Elgiloy Alloy - Cobalt-chromium-nickel Alloy, 0.1 To 2.5 Mm Thickness | High Strength, Corrosion Resistance, Non-magnetic, Custom-made Applications

Elgiloy Alloy is Cobalt-Chromium-Nickel alloy also known as Phynox gives a combination of high strength, ductility and good mechanical properties and is age hardenable. Phynox also has excellent fatigue life, corrosion resistance in numerous environments and is non-magnetic. This alloy is recommended where a high resistance to corrosion and / or low relaxation at temperatures up to 380A C are required.

The alloy is first melted using Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) techniques. A secondary melt operation, Electro Slag Remelt (ESR), is then employed to further remove impurities and improve overall homogeneity.
