Sizes ranging from 0.30 mm to 3.00 mm O.D. can be ordered in thin, standard or heavy wall. Tolerances of + 10% of inner diameter are routine. Tighter tolerances can be provided upon request. Cold Drawing consists of pulling the tubing through a die which is smaller in diameter than the O.D. of the tube. While it passes through the die, it is usually supported on the inner surface by a tool which controls the I.D., wall thickness and the length. The cold drawing process is repeated till the desired size is attained. Cold drawing reduces ductility (Pliability) of the alloy.
