Garbage chutes are common in high-rise apartment buildings and are used to collect all the garbage from the building in one place. 4 foot tall (as the linked sections overlap a little on fixing, 10 ft. drop can be obtained using 3 sections)

Slightly tapered to provide easy & efficient fixing (only 1 inch Smooth inside surface dissuades rodents from climbing up
Plastic chutes have inherent sound dampening quality compared to metal / stainless steel chutes. Hence, sound dampening treatment is not required.
