Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is a non-ionic cellulose ether prepared from refined cotton as the main raw material and processed by a series of etherification reaction.Its main performance is as follows:

1, HPMC is a white or slightly yellowish powder, and odorless, tasteless, non-toxic.
2, HPMC instant cold water soluble type can be dissolved in cold water, forming a transparent viscous solution: because it contains a certain amount of hydrophobic methoxy, so this product can be dissolved in some organic solvents.
3, The viscosity of HPMC aqueous solution in the PH3. 0-10. 0 range are relatively stable, less than 3 or greater than 10, the viscosity will be greatly reduced.
4, HPMC aqueous solution has a surface activity, it has emulsification, protective colloid and relative stability.
5, Since HPMC non-ionic, hot water can be washed in the preparation process, effectively refined, so its ash content is very low.
6, Since HPMC nonionic and non-polymeric electrolyte, therefore, it is relatively stable in an aqueous solution of a metal salt or an organic electrolyte.
7, Because HPMC is hydrophilic, its aqueous solution is high viscosity, it is added to the mortar, plaster, paint, etc., to maintain high water retention in the product.
8, Adding HPMC can reduce the friction coefficient and improve the construction of lubrication
