In-line Pressure Axial Bellows Expansion Joint (Hhbn)

These In-Line Pressure Axial Bellows Expansion Joint (HHBN) is the simplest assembly in family of expansion joint, consisting of one bellows, two weld ends and other components. It absorbs axial movements (a little lateral movements and angular movements), caused by thermal expansion or contraction of a pipeline; Duct; Or vessel, and with weld ends or flanges ends. The control rods, usually in the form of rods or bars, attached to the expansion joint assembly whose primary function is to distribute the movement between the two bellows of a universal expansion joint, they are not designed to restrain bellows pressure thrust.
These expansion joints do not restrain the internal pressure thrust. The piping designer must provide the system with separate anchoring and guiding to resist the pressure thrust. Where small thermal movements are involved and proper anchoring and guiding is feasible, a single expansion joint is the most economical installation.
