It is also sometimes required for a fan to be able to deal with hot temperature continuously, or where you have got particles within the air stream that would damage a motor if it was unprotected. For this we have a variant called the JM Bifurcated. Bifurcated literally means that the motor is held within its own protected tunnel and therefore does not get exposed to what the air stream is carrying. Mainly though, most of the applications for where JM Bifurcated are used are much lower temperatures. Typically it would be a kitchen hood extract in a commercial or large scale catering establishment. This is a growing requirement when direct heat is used in the cooking industry for example.
