An UV Amalgam Lamp is a specific type of UV lamp designed for high performance germicidal applications. It emits ultraviolet (UV) light, specifically the C-band (UVC) wavelength which is effective at killing or inactivating bacteria, viruses, and other germs.

Amalgam refers to the mercury inside the lamp. Unlike regular UV lamps where mercury moves freely, amalgam lamps use a special mercury alloy (amalgam) for stable UVC Output for effective disinfection regardless of surrounding air or water temperature variations.

Because the pressure stays stable, amalgam lamps can operate at higher wattages, it allows them to generate more UVC radiation and boast extended working life.
