They are used as carrying ropes in hoisting equipment, where main reason of their fatigue is too high number of broken wires. The rope are flexible, resistant to blending, abrasion and corrosion. They are also resistant to surface pressure. Lang-lay ropes are used in shafts up to 900m deep and ordinary-lay ropes are used in shafts deeper than 900m. 6x35 NW-FC Use: These ropes are used as carrying ropes in mining hoisting equipment. They have long fatigue life. Consequently, their wires are more resistant to breaking than in ropes with point contact of wires. The ropes can be used in wet shafts of heavy traffic volume 6xV 13-49B-FC Use: These ropes are used as carrying ropes in mining hoisting equipment. Their cross-section is around 25% larger than in round strand ropes of the same diameter. Wires, which are in their outer layer, are resistant to abrasion. The ropes have high resistance to corrosion. Their smooth surface, resulting from specific shape of strands, facilitates their use in Koepe pulleys. Steel Wire Flat Ropes FLAT HOISTING ROPES Use: These are non-rotating ropes, which are used in bobbin drives of shaft sinking hoists and rescue hoists. Their main advantage is that they have no untwisting torque, due to even number of strands of the same construction that are laid alternately. Therefore, the ropes do not rotate under load. FLAT BALANCE ROPES Use: These ropes compensate weight of carrying ropes. They have low diameter of reverse loop in free sag.
