Visiting Red Fort, Jama Masjid , Qutab Minar, Shanti van, Raj Ghat , and pass through India Gate and Parliament House and President's Estate. Day 02 DELHI/NAINITAL (1938 m) Drive 303 km/8 hr. Nainital is a hill station set around Naini Lake, named after Naina (eyes) of Parvati, Lord Shiva's wife. It is believed that emerald lake is one of the green eyes of her. Overnight in guest house/hotel. Day 03 NAINITAL In the morning we make an excursion to Naina Peak also known as China Peak (2610 m) from where we have a glimpse of Himalayan peaks including Nanda Devi (7826 m). Nanda Devi is the highest peak of Kumaon. Later in the afternoon drive around other lakes of Nainital like Bhimtal, Sat Tal and Naukuchia Tal. 'Tal' means Lake in Hindi language. During summer months Nainital is a popular Hill Resort. Day 04 : Nainital Munsyari After breakfast drive to Munsyari through the pleasant Kumaon countryside including the Almora Township. On the way to Munsyari one can see the snow covered Himalayas. On arrival check in to hotel for overnight stay. Day 05 : Munsyari Lilam After breakfast get ready for our day one trek to Lilam. Meet our trekking crew and brief introduction with team. Start your trek with a fairly easy walk that brings us to Lilam the winter home of the Milam villagers. On arrival set out tent for overnight stay. Day 06 : Lilam - Bugdiar (1850 m) 12 km trek Today we will trek through the thick forest. We will trek 12 kms to reach our next destination Bugdiar. After a steep uphill climb one reaches Bugdiar where the Poting River meets the Gori Ganga. On arrival set out tent for the night stay. Day 07 : Bugdiar - Rilkot (3200m) 12 km trek This is truly the Trans-Himalayan region. En route one can divert to the Laspa village and further to northern glacier of Nanda Kot. Rilkot village is situated above the river and one can visit the ruins of old Rilkot. Overnight can be in a camp set up near the river. Day 08: Rilkot - Ghangar (3319 m) 13 km trek One gets the view of the Martoli peak soon after Rilkot and the valley really opens out into the typical trans-Himalayan terrain. The walk through the sunny meadows is very enticing to the ancient village of Ghangar. Here we are entering into the Pachu valley which leads upto the Nanda devi base camp. Ghangar village is also exciting in terms of the typical Jauhar houses with woodcarvings and an ancient temple. Day 09 Ghangar Nanda Devi Base Camp (3880 m) 5 km trek The climb is rather strenuous from Ghangar. And the 7 km would take approximately 5 hours. The view just keeps getting better with Nanda devi looming closer with each step. The rolling High altitude rhododendron with the pink and white flowers and the fresh green birch forests make the trek an ultimate experience. We reach an open alpine meadow with varied flora and at the head of the Pachu Glacier emanating from the northern face of Nanda Devi. Overnight in the tents. Day 10 : Explore the base camp We spend the day walking up along the glacier towards the peaks and get real close up views of Nanda devi. Overnight in tents. Day 11 : Nanda Devi Base Camp - Martoli ( 3430 M. )17 km trek Today we trek mostly downhill only the last bit is up. Martoli is one the very important destinations from the ancient Indo-Tibetan trade route. The exquisite wood carvings on old houses speak stories about how this was the commercial center once upon a time. From Martoli you also get fascinating views of the Nanda devi (East) and Nanda kot. Overnight at a village house. Day 12 : Martoli - Rargari 18 km trek Again we return towards Munsyari Fairly easy downhill. Overnight in Tents. Day 13 : Rargari - Munsyari 14 km trek Madkote 22 km by jeep. Back to our roadhead. after that we procced to Madkote where we will have bath in hot spring,Madkote is small town which is famous for its hot spring water. Overnight at the Hotel. Day 14 : Madkote / Almora After an early breakfast and drive to Almora. Arrival at Almora by evening. Overnight stay at hotel. Day 15: Almora /Delhi Proceed to Delhi In the Morning and overnight Stay In the Hotel. Day 16 Delhi Departure Transfer to international airport according to your flight schedule.
