Norfloxacin Eye / Ear DropsChemical Name(s): Norfloxacin, is 1-ethyl-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-7- (1-piperazinyl)-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid.COMPOSITION AND INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTSIngredientNorfloxacin IP ....0.3 % w/vBenzalkonium chloride solution IP 0.02% v/vHydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide are added at less than 1% for pH adjustment.Non-hazardous ingredients include benzalkonium chloride (preservative), sodium acetate, acetic acid, edetate disodium and Water for injection.Norfloxacin Eye / Ear Drops contains Norfloxacin. The product is used to treat bacterial infections for external use and they are no hazardous effect.Eyes: Flush eyes with copious amount of water for not less than 15 minutes. Seek medical treatment from a physician.Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Flush affected area with mild soap and water for not less than 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation or other symptoms develop.Ingestion: If ingestion occurs, seek medical attention immediately.Inhalation: If difficulty breathing, seek medical attention immediately. If necessary, provide artificial respiration.Note(s) to Physician: Overdose should be treated symptomatically. Additional information is available in the package insert.HANDLING AND STORAGEHandling Procedures: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment in cases where exposure may occur, including gloves, lab coat, and eye protection. Additional protective equipment may be required, including the use of respiratory protection and/or additional protective clothing.Storage Procedures: Store at a temperature not exceeding 30oC. Protect from exposure to light and avoid excessive heat.EXPOSURE CONTROLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTIONSkin Protection: Use latex or nitrile gloves. Wash hands following use.Eye Protection: Use safety glasses or goggles.Respiratory Protection: Under normal product conditions, respiratory protection should not be required if used in an area with adequate ventilation. Large spills or generation of dust may require the use of approved air-purifying respirators or self- contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).
