Brief Overview of PITEX a 2014:
Over 350 exhibitors from various parts of India including Punjab Government PSUs and 5 other countries participated in PHD-PITEX-2014. The participating countries included Egypt, Thailand, Afghanistan, Nepal, and Pakistan. From Pakistan about 40 exhibitors participated.
PHD-PITEX-14 generated business queries worth more than 250 crores and there was a footfall of over 2.5 lakh during the 5-day Expo.
A number of major Brands participated in the Expo. Pakistani Onyx Marble, Pakistani Fabric, Special Silk from Nepal, Afghan dry fruits, Spices from Egypt were the special attractions this edition of PHD-PITEX.
i Inaugural Ceremony : Although PITEX, 2014, thrown open to the masses on 4th December, 2014 it was formally inaugurated by Hona ble Animal Husbandry Minister, Shri Gulzar Singh Ranike on the second day of PITEX, 2014, the 5th December, 2014.
i Valedictory Function: Shri Madan Mohan Mittal, Hona ble Industries and Commerce Minister, Punjab was the Chief Guest at the valedictory ceremony held on the penultimate day, 8th December, 2014
