TECHNICAL DATA SHEET 1 PRODUCT RAINBOW  PRIMER SURFACE GREY/ WHITE. 2 Type Based on synthetic resin and rust inhibitive in gradients 3 Purpose To be used as an intermediate coat or undercoat previously primer surface. It can be also used as a primer for metal 4 Properties   (a) Specific gravity 1.40 2 % (b) Viscosity 100 120 5 sec. @ 30 C (c) Colour Grey  & white (d) Drying time Surface dry 4 hours     hard dry 8 hours     Track free -24 hours (e) Gloss Eggshell. matt. (f) Finish Smooth film free form sagging & wrinkling (g) Flash point Above 30C (h) Flexibility & adhesion No cracking or loss of adhesion on 1/4" mandrel 5 Thinner RAINBOW general purpose synthetic thinner. 6 Spreading rate (Theoretical) 10 12 Sq. Mts./lit. per coat. 7 Application Brush, roller or spray  8 Shelf life  12 months 9 Remark  Prepare the surface carefully. It should be free form mill scale rust dirt, grease etc. Sand paper the surface and clean     Chemical treatment like Phosphating is advised to ensure proper adhesion of primer on ferrous metals.     Can be used on Car/truck/ bus bodies along with RAINBOW universal redoxide zinc chromate primer as an rust preventive primer. 10 Packings 20 lit. drum, 4 lit., 1 lit, 500ml., 200ml. tins.  Note : All recommendation for the use of our products, whether given by us is writing, orally or to be implied from the results carried out by us are based on the current state of our knowledge.
