Quartz Silica Wedge Depolarizer

We are well known for manufacturing and exporting our customers Quartz Silica Wedge Depolarizer. Plane polarized beam is not welcomed in some circumstances such as reflecting spectrometer. A depolarizer will change the plane polarization into a mix of polarization states by scrambling up the polarization, the result is to change plane polarized beam into pseudo-depolarized beam and produce depolarization. Depolarizer is widely used in polarization sensitive instrument. Crysmit offer Quartz Wedge Depolarizer and Quartz Lyot Depolarizer.
This Depolarizer consists of a crystalline quartz wedge together with a compensating fused silica wedge to correct the angular deviation. The optic axis of the quartz wedge lies in the plane of thea wedge and at 45 deg to thea input polarization. The result is then a variable retardation plate over the aperture, which produces depolarization for all wavelengths. So, this Depolarizer is thus effective with monochromatic light.
