SASO has signed numbers of recognition programs on certificate of conformity and quality marks with 14 national accredited certification bodies (Please list the link) in the following countries such as : Turkey, Malaysia,Tunisia, Singapore, South Africa, Germany, Argentina, South Korea, Philippines, Pakistan, Jordan, Egypt, Indonesia and Spain . Also signed number of recognition programs on certificate of conformity with 10 International accredited certification companies (Please list the link ) , for issuing CoC for products intend to be exported to Saudi Arabia issued by these certification companies in the following countries: Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Switzerland , Germany, Britain , Austria, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, UAE , Japan and USA. SASO is currently negotiating with a number of certification bodies or international companies for examination and testing, to sign with them, and is expected to sign with several bodies in different locations of the world in 2012. About SASO Saudi Arabian Standards Organization being the sole standardization body in the Kingdom, was established according to the Royal Decree No. M / 10 dated 3/3/1392 H, on 16/4/1972, as a body corporate Organization and an independent budget assigned to deal with all that relates to activities of specifications, standards and quality, which include adopting national standards for all commodities and products, also sampling techniques and methods of inspection and test, etc., as well as establishing the rules for granting certificates of conformity corresponding to the imported goods, quality marks, the systems for issuing them and the right to use. The Organization publishes the necessary awareness on the characterization and standardization. The decision of the Council of Ministers No. (61) Dated 28/2/1430 ordered and changed the name of the Organization by adding quality to be (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization).
