The Smooth rod is 1 meter long in length and has dia of 8mm.
It is a metal rod usually used on the axis for components such as the X-carriage or print bed of a RepRap to slide on.
The most commonly used type of smooth rod is stainless steel M8 (8 mm diameter). Stainless steel is a pretty hard steel, and doesn't rust, making them ideal to slide bearings on.
It is also given a hard chrome platting to avoid the rod from bending.
They are used with the LM8UU Bearings and SC8UU Bearings.
We also provide custom size cutting of rods as per your requirement.
Cutting is done free of cost.
