Battery-coupled solar water pumping systems consist of photovoltaic (PV) panels, a charge control regulator, batteries, pump controller, pressure switch, tank and a DC water pump. The electric current produced by the solar panels during periods of high sun charges the batteries. The batteries then supply power to the pump anytime water is needed.
