GENERAL INFORMATION
LYS 660 is a kind of styrene-acrylic emulsion surface sizing agent, used on paper and paper boarda s surface sizing in variety of papermaking conditions. Compared with AKD kind of surface sizing agent, LYARS 660 almost has no problems such as maturation period, which can effectively control the quality of the paper sizing. Besides, LYARS 660 has a low tendency to foam, it can increase the paper surface strength to a certain extent. This product can partly replace internal sizing, purifying the wet system.
APPLICATION
The common adding point of LYARS 660 is within surface sizing system, the inlet of the starch transfer pump or being directly added into the used bucket of sizing material. The typical dosage is 2i 5%(dry starch), which is roughly equivalent to 0.5i 2.0 kg/t paper ton. Basically, it need aluminum sulfate to help the sizing. It should be noticed that LYS 660 can not be directly added in the application of OBA, which to prevent the failure of OBA.
