Tierod Construction Hydraulic Cylinders

Cylinders provide a linear drive and are the most commonly used of hydraulics drives. A Cylinder essentially consists of a piston located in a tubular housing and a piston rod passing through one of the end covers. The ports provided in the end covers permit entry and return of hydraulic oil.

Our cylinders are made of following items

Tube: cold drawn seamless steel tubes, which are bored and finish honed to a surface finish between 0.2 to 0.4uM , of ST-52, ASTM Duty.

Piston rod: piston rod is made of medium carbon steel or case hardened steels (such as En8, En1A), hardened, grounded and hard chrome plated to avoid wear and corrosion.

Piston: One piece construction, precision machined to Seal's Dimensions.

End Covers : mild steels, accurately machined according to the seals used.

Seals: Busak- shamban, Merkel, Hallite - Germany, NOK-Japan P.T.F.E/Canvas reinforced nitrile rut and for high temperature viton seals, hard wearing nitrile lip type wiper are used..

Tierods and nuts: Medium carbon steel tie rods with hexagonal nuts and spring washers.

Ports: Unrestricted BSP, Metric ports as per BIS, ISO & CETOP Standards

Cushioning : Can be provided at the two ends to avoid damaging of components due to impact with adjustable needle valve which provides fine cushioning of piston movements
