Key Features
- KCT up flow softners are based on the proven technique of counter flow regeneration. This ensures that the treated water contains low residual hardness throughout the cycle.
- KCT softners are ready to install and are manually operated. These softners are available both as standard models and custom built versions for your specific needs.
- KCT softners utilize a high capacity, strongly acidic cation exchange resin in sodium form as the exchanger, for optimum performance. Scale forming cations (Ca & Mg) hardness ions in water are replaced by sodium ions from the resins to soften water. The resin in turn picks up the hardness ions (Ca & Mg). Exhausted resins is easily regenerated by brine solutions into the Sodium form is ready for the next cycle.
- Softner column consist of mild steel construction with internal distribution and collecting systems. Vessel is painted internally with anticorrosive bituminous paint/epoxy coating and externally with red oxide primer and enamel paint.
- Brine tank of corrosion resistance construction to store and measure brine solution.
- A set of frontal interconnecting pipe line with flange and multiport valve/ diaphragm valve.
- Two pressure gauges are provided one at inlet and other at outlet.
- Brine injector is hydraulically operated.
