It can form a layer of solid electrolyte interface film (SEI film) by electrochemical reaction on the negative electrode surface during the initial charge and discharge of lithium-ion batteries, and effectively inhibit the embedding of solvent molecules. It has good performance at high and low temperature, and excellent anti-bloating function. Vinyl carbonate can improve the capacity and cycle life of the lithium-ion battery. In addition, it can also be used as a monomer for the preparation of polyvinyl carbonate.
