Q. Can Ayurvedic uterine tonics have side effects?

No. All Ayurvedic uterine tonics do not show any side effects when taken under the supervision of an Ayurvedic doctor. However an over-dosage may cause indigestion heavy bleeding uterine contraction vomiting or nausea high blood pressure acid reflux constipation irregular menstrual cycle low blood sugar level palpitation and burning sensation. It is therefore strictly advised not to be used by pregnant women or lactating mothers.
