Q. How can I check the grade of stainless steel 304 or 202?

Answer

For a quick random test, pick up a piece of raw material and conduct a spark test. It is performed by running a grinder on it. Check if the spark turns reddish orange, thin and do not spread much, it is a SS304 grade. If the emitted spark is yellow in colour, thicker in appearance and spread much farther then it’s a SS202
