A hammer mill is a steel drum consisting of hammers fixed on a central rotating shaft. When a material to be milled enter the hammer mill, the hammers start to banging repeatedly against the materials while rotate at a speed of 2,500 to 6,000 rpm, crushing the material into a uniform, small size based on the mill screen.
