When installing corner shelves, the sweet spot is usually between 42 inches and "eye level." A Foot Shelf installed 9 to 12 inches from the shower floor is a good height range. Soap and shampoo bottles of normal size will fit on a shower niche shelf with a height of 8 1/2 inches to 10 inches. If someone wants to utilize the bigger pump bottles, require a shelf in the shower that is 12 to 13 inches deep.
