Bamboo sheets are derived from fibres that have been extracted from the bamboo grass plant. They are one of the softest forms of natural cotton, and sheets made using bamboo fibres are in great demand. These sheets are breathable, thus it allows for the sheets to remain cool during the summer months and warm during the winter months. Therefore, it is also important to understand how to keep the bamboo sheets as good as new. Bamboo sheets can be washed like every other natural cotton material. When the bamboo sheets are lightly soiled, then take a bucket of water, put half a spoon of detergent powder and build up a good lather. Slowly soak the bamboo sheet in this liquid, and gently scrub and squeeze the sheets. Let it stay soaked in the water for half an hour, before washing it with clean water till the detergent has run off the sheet. Do not wring, rather spread the sheet in diffused sunlight. Direct sunlight is not good for natural textiles. If the sheet is heavily soiled, then soak the sheet in hot water, infused with detergent. Scrub and clean. Once the stains are removed, wash it like a regular sheet.
