There are two
different types of induction motors: squirrel cage induction motor and
slip-ring induction motor. Squirrel cage induction motors are used in fans
water pumps and other household electrical appliances. Whereas slot ring
indication motors are used in equipment requiring high starting torque such as
elevators cranes etc.
