Functioning on the principle of anerobic mechnaism, biogas plant is used to treat biodegradable wastes (such as maize silage, sewage sludge or food waste), energy crops and farm wastes. Such wastes are being transformed into biogas or digestate for further intended use. It is a renewable source of energy. Bio-gas is mainly methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
