The energiser's lead out wire is attached to the grounding rod via an earth clamp. The earth clamp ensures a tight connection between the energizer and earthing system which is necessary for efficient electricity transfer. Be sure the ground rod and cable are securely connected. When attaching earth rods to copper tape of varying widths A' type earth clamps are employed because of their durability and resistance to corrosion. Connecting flat tapes and isolated cable to earth rods reinforcement bars (re-bar) and hand rails is possible with earth tape and 'U' bolt clamps.
