Q. What is the lifespan of a bronze statue?
Answer
A bronze statue is meant to last centuries, if not more. Bronze is fairly inert, and if maintained well through regular cleaning and dusting, the statue will remain forever. The idea is to preserve the bronze patina, and that can be done by regular dusting and wiping. Another method of preserving the glister, especially for outdoor statues, is to coat it with a layer of polishing wax, like the one used for polishing our cars. The wax creates a barrier between the atmosphere and the bronze layer, and thus, the shine or the glint will never fade off.
