European Biomass to Power Conference 2024 will be held from 11th - 12th September 2024 at Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland. This is a project that aims to demonstrate the feasibility of using sustainable biomass from Europe to produce heat and power in Helsinki. It will involve the construction of a new biomass-fired power plant in Helsinki, which will be supplied with wood pellets from sustainably managed forests in Europe. It will have a capacity of 200 megawatts (MW), and it will be able to generate enough electricity to heat about 200,000 homes in Helsinki.
