Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising 3rd edition of Summit on Farm Machinery Technology - Conference, vendor development program & exhibition on new technologies & design innovations from 27-28 April 2023 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
The previous two editions of the Summit have been conducted virtually and the last edition of Summit, organised from 16-17 December 2021 received participation of than 600 senior delegates representing manufacturers, suppliers of farm machinery, providers of technology solutions, exporters, R & D experts, user industry, policy makers & influencers and media. Farm mechanization is driven by the need for enhancing agriculture productivity & availability of food grains, increasing agriculture exports, mitigating labour shortage and facilitating judicious use of scarce natural resources. Keeping this in view Government of India has set an ambitious target to double the availability of farm power to 4.0 KW per ha by the end of 2030 which would create tremendous opportunities for all stakeholders in the sector. However, there are many impediments to this growth like small & fragmented farms, our farming practices, investing capacity of farmers and lack of suitable machinery.
